 Post subject: Storing a VW motor

I know this is a sad question but if i was to put my buggy up for an extended period of time,do you think it would be a good idea to take the complete rocker shafts off so they dont keep pressure on the springs and the rest of the valve train?

Don't see how it could hurt to do that.you think it would have to make easier on the valve springs.Chad :mrgreen:

Change the oil & Run the carbs out of gas spray wd40 in carb vents . take spark plugs out spray wd40 in cylinders. & take the rockers off .
