i was cleaning up some used intakes i have and was matching them up afterward when i noticed some had "A" and some had "B" stamped on the side while others had no markings at all

I suspect the A and B desinate the Offset from the left and right manifold. Easy way for the plant packers to get one of each in the box. |

I think there were two sets offered. One with an offset to compensate for the 1/3 - 2/4 cylinder banks not being in line and the other set with no offset. |

so does this mean a = offset and b = straight or vice versa or maybe its a = driver side and b = passenger side or vice versa |

Do they look ported ? If so the heads they were on were also marked a/b to keep them in the correct location. |
