also i have an old SCAT distributor with points if anybody knows anything/specs about those and whether or not anybody makes a electronic kit for them and spare caps and rotors?

it looks like the mallory one on scats website and probably is just with a scat tag on it, but since it appears to be an "older" distributor, i thought i would ask and see if anybody has had any experience with one :|

050 has 27 degrees advance and 009 has 21 degrees advance
050 fully advances at a higher rpm

050 caps are getting harder to find but cb performance still sells them

thanks aboone, so i'm guessing the 050's are not as good and might as well send them to the scrap pile  ive got 2 or maybe 3 of them and was hoping they were some count

The 050 is the brazilian replacement for the 022 distributor that was in the 356 Porsche. They might be worth keeping and selling on a Porsche forum. Should be worth more than scrap. I've seen NOS ons advertised for$150.00.

The Pertronix unit from the 050 will fit the 009.
