Are you looking for a $1000 1600 or $1100 1915 bottom of the line long block engine. Lots of online VW shops selling these. Problem is most of these need almost what you spent on them to make them right.
DUBclub was right when he asked what is your budget?

They are getting so scarce that a stock engine running on 3 cylinders would probably go for $500. Or any thing that runs. The best blocks to build were from 72-74.

You got lucky cuz I was trying to help a youngster stay in this great sport. I was just "paying it forward" from all the help I've gotten from my friends thru the years. You wont get deals like that very often.
