Ive always heard a lot of good stuff about Dave at Shadetree about his work and his prices. The other 2 seem to have a heck of a reputation too.

yeah i know shadetree is a sponsor (and IS who i'm leaning towards sending them to) but i am just trying to get some input on who has used who cause once a head is cut its pretty much no going back and i dont want to ruin a $1,000 set of heads from not doing my homework on who i send them to 8)

I've used a couple of guys to do work on my heads here is my experiences on quality of work, set timelines, overall impression:

AJ Simms-the work was great timeline was blown it took eight months to get my heads back that is unreasonable -his moto these days is “I will get to it when I get to it im busy cool if you can wait ??? , price was average should have been free at that point, when I got the parts back they needed to have the machining mess cleaned, Aj is a very cool guy, the work is good, but the bs is not worth it

Timms- work was great and he met the timeline we set which was 1 month, the heads looked brand new and ready to bolt on

DRD- I've had him do a couple of sets of heads, work has always been good and he has also finished the heads ahead of deadline's set. Darren has gone out of his way in many ways, he always give’s a realistic deadline

Brother's Machine shop- I've had them do alot of machine work including heads, they are a well oiled machine, work comes in and goes out fast. Their work is top notch

I have not met or even talked to alot of these But If I needed a set done now days I would have to ask Gary [Turbo] He is the straightest shooter I have saw so far. He is consistently talked about well by all I have talked to. From what I have heard if it ain't right when he's done he will make it right .Well that, you just can't beat .Just my 2 cents
