I dont have a regulator on it - they just quit working - had to keep beating on it yesterday to get out of the woods. Tired of throwing money away to Advanced Auto if I dont need to. Thanks guys Larry |

i run a mechanical on my 2276 and have had no problems...also a number one rule for me,,,I NEVER buy any thing electrical from Advanced Auto or Auto Zone, I once had to replace a starter on my 1969 chevy truck in a parking lot,,truck had headers which made it tricky to do,,then after the 3rd "new" starter i got one that was good. |

I had the same bad luck with the junk from advance. After two of them I broke down and went to summit. |

Rotary style electric fuel pumps have proven VERY reliable to me. About $70. They come with a filter and are preset to 3 psi. Been running the same one for 5 yrs with no problem yet. (Knock on wood A mechanical pump will do fine for puttin around or mild playin on shorter stuff. But do you really wanna risk running out of fuel in your carbs on a bad ass hill because you run a fuel pump designed to supply a single one bbl carb on a 1600cc motor?? |

Can't beat a nice 044, a little pricey but they just don't stop going. |
