Sorry Guys
Yes this is a type 4 motor for my 4 seat rail buggy.
This will not be a high RPM build most of my drivjng will be under 50 mph.
Looking for low end power and to be able to cruse at 70 in 4th gear without down shifting for the hills in my area.
Thanks
MoblMec

I hate to admit, but thats the perfect application for a water pumper.
If you are dead set on aircooled, CB fuel injection would be hard to beat for a cruiser. But I'd hate to imagine what it costs for T4 , its crazy high for a T1.
Ecotech has your FI and plenty of power, but not the bottom end you seek. Overall, I liked the ecotech better than any of the 4cyl waterpumpers I've been in (suby 2.2, saturn, ecotech, quad4). But I am yet to drive a 4 cylinder waterpumper that feels like it has the grunt of a 110 cammed 2500 T1, let alone a T4. V6s feel better on bottom end, but you got weight and room issues then.

IMO Nothing beats fuel injection! Easy start, great drivability and throttle response at any rpm and no floats will run upside down.

If you can get your hands on a complete running T-2 FI system w/ fuel pump get it it is a very simple system. All it needs is a signal from the starter, ignition power and ground. Wiring diagram is on one page.
Perfect for a stock engine. Web cams has a mild performance cam for the factory FI.

As for carbs common ones are dual 40 Weber IDFs or dual 36 Dellorto DLRA and the single Weber / Holley conversion.
