While looking for some 4 lug wheels, I ran across these and thought I should pick them up. I am still not sure what I am going to do with them.

What are the general thoughts of the buckshot tires?

Since I run 4 lug, I will still need wheel adapters. I think I would prefer to have 4 lug aluminum wheels but I might as well give these a try.

Look like they should work well. I would think they would do very well on rocky terrain.

Cut buchshots do very well and are lighter than boggers. Q's are tall though. gonna need some gear and pony's to pull them on steep hills. You should try them out and if you don't like them you could trade to a Bama boy  I ran Q's on my 2.2 suby with 3 rib and I liked them fine in first gear but I also broke three 3 rib's with them. When I went to 6 rib I went to 31's.

My only concern is the width. The tires are thin and there is not much surface area for traction. I am glad to hear they are lighter. That will help.

As for the wheels, I will call Russ tomorrow and order the adapter.

MM I ran Q's on a couple of my previous buggies and loved them . Try them and if you dont like them I would like a chance at taking them off your hands and if you want to sell the wheels to buy some 4 lug wheels remember me

Thanks Chris

Now get that thing put back together so we can ride again!!!!!!!

There is no writing on the rims but they appear to be extremely strong. They are roughly 16 x 8 (including the beadlocks)

I am not sure what most rims and tires weight but these are 75 lbs. (w/ 20 psi if that matters)

you should be able to look at the tire size and see what dia. the rim is if its a Q-78/15buckshot then it is a 15 in. dia. wheel and as far width goes youll probably have to take the tire off to get an accurate measurement of the wheel width but looking at the pics id say 8 in. is about right but not over a 10 in. jm2cents

Yep.. They are Q78-16 Buckshot Mudders made by Gateway.

The rims are about 7 inches wide without the BeadLocks and about 8 inches wide with the BeadLocks.

Those look like an old set of Centerline wide 5's converted to beadlocks. Thet used to be bolted together with hex bolts....very cool. I think the narrow tire will go easy on parts.

I need to get some wheel adapters before I can mount them on the buggy. I talked to Russ and he is hooking me up with some adapters. I will post some pics once they are mounted.
