Post subject:  welded beadlocks

i ordered some aero racing beadlocks from summit and welded them on my wheels. the question i have is... do i need 2 grind the lip off the rim 2 make the wheel completly flush with the bead lock so it doesnt cut the tire or will it b ok like this

Most of 'em I've seen are ground off.

The main benifit to gronding it off is so you can remove the tire easily. I left mine on so it had more bite on the tire. Seems to be ok so far. But I also filled the gap with weld.

i grinded mine down 2 the top of the weld today.i didnt take it all the way flush with the beadlock put it is pretty close and i made sure it was very smooth. ill get some pics when i get them painted
