Has any one machined off the lip of a car stub axle and redrilled and tapped it for a Bus CV? I have done this with mine, and it works. I am wondering how a guy could go about puting on another lip to help center the CV when you replace one in the woods. |

we build our on stub axles, put a car in a lay and take the whole cup off then put the bus stub in there and cut it off, then weld the bus to the car,its free and it works, jus gotta get them same length as a stock car stub |

i used the car stubs that were drilled out i was not pleased with them the walls were too thin and even the one with a ring welded on the outside was week i kept shearing bolts off when i would get on it or the tire would take a jolt then it just started pulling the bolts out of the stub i think i just had a bad set though wasnt done correctly or something |

I just would like to have some kinda ring around it, to make it easier lining up the bolts if I ever break a CV. |

Sounds like your were made out of concentric. |
