Hey guys I have a decent flatbed trailer, but I'm making it longer. I need some ideas on cheep axles/tire setup to go tandem. Any ideas? I want to buy a 20ish' inclosed within the next year so I dont want to spend a ton. Thanx! |

A lot of front wheel drive cars from the early 80's had a heavy rear axle in them with a common bolt pattern wheel. I've used Chevy Citations, buick skylark, and some others with pretty good success. Wheel bearings are cheap and plentiful to fit them. |

Well Its 6'6" wide and I'd like to keep the wheels to the outside if I can. |

You can splice em in the middle and turn them upside down if you need more ground clearance. |

Trailer lots have them but they are EXPENSIVE!!! Find a trailer that has burnt down and offer to buy the axles. |
