I have plastic seats in several of my rails. I welded 3/16th plate steel tilted back at an angle & drilled & bolted my seats to it. Thats the simple & strong solution. |

Sorry bout that, I have the kirkey economy drag seats. I was thinking of welding plate steel ontop of the tubing, is this what most are doing? |

sv i did plate steel on my first cobra. it works fine for me (160 lbs) but i noticed the passenger side where i had my buddy ride (230lb) the plate bent to the floor a bit about 1/2 inch. the singleseater i like the seat mounting much better its just tabs, i also added a 1.5 piece of tubing on the bolt and bolted the back solid. heres pictures of both. the picture with the plastic seat was just for fitting stuff. kyle Old Way ![]() ![]() New Way ![]()

I mounted slotted 5/8" unistrut between my torsion and bar that is in front of the seats. This wasn't reall planned, but it easily allows me to move the seats forward easily if my wife wants to drive. |

Andrew look closer In the back tube I actually took a cutoff wheel and sliced the tube until the flat pieces slid in. this puts the back of the bracket on the bottom of the back tube and then it just gives you 1.5 inches of raise in the front for tilt. Kyle |
