I been blowing up rear bearings in my bus baby chain buggy. The 2 bearings together had 25k lb static load cap. I replaced them with tapper roller bearings and now have over 100k. I had to take a 3 inch grade 8 washer and weld a wall for the outer bearing. Now it tightens up just like a front wheel bearing does. MSC direct has them. $43 for the inner and $32 for the outer. I'm guessing that's what real chain drives use.
