Take it to a dealership so they can completely diagnose the problem and they should help you out on what causes the problem, it may just be a sensor going bad. |

I agree with Chad. take it in, thats code could indicate a couple of problems. Bad injector or o-ring and could be filling block with feul or cylinder and can hydro-lock. Dont mess with it and get in to the shop. Goodluck, keep us posted. |

Also check the block that your fuel filter screws onto these are known for developing cracks and causing all kind of problems... |

Bluebuggy may be right about the fuel filters, they are very important for diesel engines, if you let them get dirty even they looks fine, it makes a huge difference in fuel pressure and that is also important for the common rail diesel engines. Don't take shortcuts on your diesel truck Willie, they do not get by like you can on gasoline engines and i have been there in my younger days, I used to have a Ford Mustang and I thought it was bullet proof, I let a few things go when it should have been fixed properly and I just kept rigging it to where it will still run then it lead to failure big time!! Diesel engines are way more sensitive, hope you get it going and see you you at Wheeler's. |

i would start looking at the pressure at the tank i know a guy that the feed line broke in the tank and you also may just have a week pump. i fthat was not it i would just check every place the line comes off till you find it if the rail it self is low then it your regulator. go pick up a Fuel Injection Pump Tester cheap $16 and it works good http://www.harborfreight.com/fuel-injec ... 92699.html |

SELL IT AND GET A DODGE it could be several things such as all of the above, but im afraid that maybe your lift pump went out and has ruined the the injector pump but that is just my guess |

Talked to my duramax tech at work. He said put a filter on it. If that don't work most likley an injector or pump problem. . |

Yea, dirtdobber. You're thinking of a lift pump like a FASS or an Air Dog system. They keep up with your fueling better when you throw big injectors, a hopped up injection pump, (willie has a bosch cp3 pump, stock.) or a tuner, or the EFI tuning program on your truck, (Duramax-Specific tuning program) which deliver alot more #2 to that DirtyMax. But if willie doesn't have anything on his truck to increase fueling, that shouldn't be the problem. It very well could be his stock lift pump going bad, a problem with the injection pump, or somethin' as simple as a sensor going bad. Wilbur, if it ends up being a bad lift pump, I would recommend upgrading to something like a FASS or an Air Dog. They're alot more durable, help keep air out of your fuel to make sure you're getting nothing but fuel to the motor, which increases MPG, and they have two large filters. Here's a link to an Air Dog system on Pure Diesel Power's website. This would probably be your best bet. I'll definitely be running and Air Dog 150 on my Cummins when I go to bigger injectors and turbo, and do some more pump mods to increase my fueling. You may do some more researching to find one cheaper, but I wouldn't run any brand besides FASS, Air Dog, Raptor, and maybe a Holley Blue Pump. I've heard mixed opinions about the Holley lift pumps.
