I’m on 11 to 1 and it cost allot to run but happy so far. When I build a new motor it will be set up for pump gas. Costs less and easier to find |

Im planning for about 11 to 1 or more myself since Im gonna run race gas. Ive been wondering how well the Holley fuel pump & Webbers handle Ethanol since its 105 octane. |

Since I do a lot of street driving, I run 9 1/2 to 1 in my 2276. It runs great but I have not had it together very long. |

I set mine at 8 to 1 for pump gas but I am easy on my equipment and trail ride mostly which is a kind way of saying I'm "skeert" ! |

It all depends on what fuel you want to run. If you want a pump gas engine, you should set your CR below 10. 9.5 is a good number for 93 octane. If you want to run mixed gas or full race gas, you can go from 11-1 to 13-1 depending on what camshaft you choose. Higher compression equals much higher horsepower but comes with a price of more maintenance. |

More compression means more power. But is bad on the bearings and stuff. |
