I was wondering how you guys are installing your clutches do you use a tool or eyeball or what?? Any suggestion im doing mine this weekend..

I think the last time we just found something that fit kinda snug in the clutch and used that to position it. I guess we eyeballed it.

i don`t no if they still got them but a few years ago i bought a cluch alinement tool at autozone for around $2.50. it has the splins & a ring on the end to push it in and pull it out. if you have a junk tranny just cut the shaff off and use it.

This is what I use. You should be able to get one from your local auto parts store for 5 bucks or less.

i used my pinky before i just tightened the bolts till the clutch would not drop and aligned it that way it slid right on the shaft, but autozone still carries the tool

I personally use the shaft out of a junk transmisson. I havent had to reset one yet

Me and my dad use a tool we made- A shaft out of a old tranny with a big ring welded to the back of it. Ours works great. You might try that. Just an idea.

I have a LOT of old shafts.... can't get any better, imo. I would be willing to part with some...

we didnt weld anything on it but ours is right out of the tranny.

NIce to know. Just bought a clutch tool off ebay $7.00. But thanks everyone
