Cut the crap man, you spend that much on one carb. This info is for those interested in running a subaru engine. The wiring harness is necessary but once you do it and the adapter you can switch motors cheap and easy. I did my harness myself for the cost of some solder and heatshrink. For those with less time and more money these nice folks will do it for a fee. If I upgrade to a more powerful turbo'd engine, I will pay for the harness because it is more difficult and the help is not yet available. How much would it cost to make your ac engine fuel injected? Sure you get plenty of power from carbs but how much do 2 good carbs cost? To each his own. Nobody's holding a bottle of antifreeze to your throat.

lol you took it out of context. i never said anything about a ac wc battle....i was referring to the harness comes with the 300 engine and you gotta pay another 300 to get it done?

i was just saying that i thought it was quite expensive just to redo a wire harness. i would take the route you did and break out the soldering iron and some shrink for about 12.00 hah.

o and for the record i think subies kickass!

thanks to firebug for posting and madmike and odyknuck for bringing this to my attention. in fact i was at the junkyard today pulling a wiring harness out of a suby when i got the info. you guys just saved me 200 bucks. i have been in contact with thomas johnson at enginewiring.com and he has been very helpful. the ej25 obd-II (96 to present) wiring is more involved than the obd-I (pre 96) and i think it best left to someone with the knowledge and experience.

I agree That has got to be the funnest think Ive seen here in awhile. Yep Bill from the looks of that it certainly would be prudent for you to pay to have it done! ROFLAO
