I love to ride and have fun on the hills. Maybe not as much as some here. BUT I have to say that my son has gotten bitten by the hill climbing bug or something. He loves to go with me when we ride and has seen some great climbs and some wild rolls and flips. He has gotten to where he asked if we could climb that hill or the other one while driving down the road.
He has now taken his playstation games and wants to try and climb any and all hills that are in the games. Games like Smugglers Run, MX unleashed, MX vs ATV and several others. It won't be long and I will have to build him his own rail buggy it seems. The boy is always asking me about hill climbing and I hope that he gets to see some this coming weekend at the Creek.

Mine too! Maybe thats why he took to drivin a real rail so easily. Maybe it was the yard-carts and dirtbikes, and etc. since he could walk! Either way, mine will be outclimbin' me before long, I'm sure! Prolly already could if he had the motor/tranny.

He looked good driving it at D&K. He must have taken one of the big boy trails because he broke the cv bolts out of one side. I herd he was gouging on it pretty hard. And out doing pop on a hill. Keep up the good work.

Twelve years old is when I got my first one. I've been loving it for six years now and counting. Glad to see other young guys getting into it like I did

My son turns 9 tomorrow and has wanted a rail for some time. He wants one of those you see at Gander Mountain that has the 250 cc engine. Guess it would work for him but think a rail would be more durable in the long run. It is funny that we all do some of the same things with these games to see if we can climb the hills on it.

My son is 15 and we are building a single seater for him now it will have a type 4 (1.8 ) and a six rib trans, he already has beefed up trailing arms, just like the rest of you he will be out climbing me in short time. he drives mine now and does great.

I stayed next to Larry at D&K ride memorial Day weekend and seen the mini rail. I wanted to get it for Tyler but didn't have the funds to do so. I know the boy liked it afterwards he talked about it for awhile. Larry hope to camp and ride together again with the family. Had a great time, wish you could make it to the creek this weekend.

Yeah, John, hope to get to ride with you again soon. Would like to check out "the creek" someday, but dont know if my truck would even go straight past the London exit with a buggy hooked to it!!  Come up to D&K again, SOON! My youngest had a blast playin' with Tyler at the camp! He's not so much interested in riding as me and Dakotah, so everytime I offer to let him go with us he wants to know if Tyler will be there! I told him your son wants to hit the woods anyways! and wouldnt be hangin around camp if he can help it anyways! Build him a little buggy he can seee out of easily, using conventional stuff. Much easier to deal with when it breaks in the woods!!

Bruce, thanks for the kind words. He was proud as a peacock after the last ride. Almost as proud as I was of him! 8) .

I have sold the mini. Hated to since he and I built from scratch together, with help from the Yankee, but time for him to move up.

Thanks. I couldnt find anything "storebought" that remotely ressembled a rail, that looked like it would last a day.
One buddy had an old snowmobile , another had an old blown up 250EX, and I had a new tubing bender! 8)
Threw 'em all in a box, shook it up, thats what fell out!
