I was thinking of pulling the pop up camper behind my t-trailer . I have a ex cab Dakota with a small v8 t-trailer is on a torsion axle and so is the camper .
Ya thing it is safe and if so is their any suggestions on what to watch out for other then backing up ...
Thanks guys
Jason

I did it for a couple years with no problem . Just make sure it is leagal in your state . Some states say the front trailer cant be a bumper pull that it must be 5th wheel style hitch

That's the rule here in Tennessee.

You wouldn't think that either . My toy hauler weighs over 14000 pounds with water and gas and it is a bumper pullImage

I think its the idea of the hitches not the weight. Maybe the movement is more a concern that weight. .Just guessing.

I pulled two for 25 years from Moab to KY and all in between.Put the heaviest one in front .And with a spring axel It could develop a swing  and if so you can get it trouble fast.We were going to Fultondal Al to ride one time and some guys we had never met wanted to go so they hooked a T trailer to a 16 ft car hauler and away we went when he was going down I20 and started off a hill the trailer in the back started to sway and it got worse and worse untill the rear trailer blew the tires and then it rolled the truck down the guard rail in the meadian .Ripped the tong off the second trailer but it never turned over .Jeff Busby's CD was on the second trailer not even strapped down only in park and it never got threw off not even a scratch

I pulled two t trailers for a few years from Cincinnati to Harlan ky. Before I did I called oh highway patrol and they told me the only thing that matters is that you aren't over weight. I never checked with ky because I'd seen people do it in ky many times. I never had a problem until I got pulled over by ky highway patrol and he told me I needed a gooseneck on the first trailer. He wanted me to call someone to get the second trailer at the next gas station but didn't follow me. Of course, I wasn't calling someone from four hours away so I kept it rolling past several state boys on i75 with no trouble. Later I called ky and talked to just about everyone they could think of and no one thought there was a problem with it. Go figure.

Buy a house next to your favorite trail and ride 2-4 times a week. Or set up a cheap camper hidden deep in the woods along with your buggy. Take in wild dogs and put a 50lb bag of food under the camper for security. Solar panels keep your car battery charged for camper lites. The wife and I will be out at Leeds all day tomorrow sunning and fishing at the Cahaba River bank. lol
