That is a very early, most likely one of the first few berrien ventures made. It has the floor bars that angle up to the front end and torsion which they only did for the first few and also has a very swept back windshield bar which they also stood up more after they seen people wanted more headroom and a stronger chassis. |

wow thanks, definitely on point with the headroom, I plan to modify it a bit in that area because I have smacked the bar a few times and dont like that very much! I moved the pedal box to make it fit me better and its kind of like sliding into a sock to get in, getting out is not as graceful, but getting better with practice. its a very low slung design that seems like it would be more at home in the dunes than in the woods, but woods is where it will be! it has a link pin front end, but long term I will be chopping it off and possibly doing an A-arm front end. |

I have same problem with my frame. I wish I could put a decent seat in it. "Don't believe everything you read on the Internet."--Abraham Lincoln |

I fully intend to remove the upper bars and replace them with something that gets up above my head. I dont mind the seats that much, but I do mind the headaches.. one thing I dont understand, they mounted the fuel tank low, its safer I get it, but if you have less than a half a tank of fuel cold starts are very very long.. the fuel back flows to the tank and you have to pump it all the way back. I see an electric pump or a remounted tank in my future. I think the low slung look is nice but I am seeing a ton of compromises made for the look that aren't really worth it. |
