I can not remember where I read this but some one said they had wired up their buggy with a weather proof connector kit. Does any one know where they purchased the kit?

Look up "weather pack connector" on EBAY. Bulk assortments are actually pretty reasonable for the reliability you get out of them. I think it was about $125 investment to do my entire buggy. I plan to redo the electrical boxes out of aluminum with 30 pin bulk head connectors this winter. Lose 30 lbs. at least just on the boxes and simplify the wiring even more. I made the boxes out of "free steel". That is a term for the steel that was being made at the time I needed some which doesn't always translate to the lightest steel. :mrgreen:
