What's the average clearance under y'all's skid pans? Trying to get mine set up so I can weld my shock tabs and limit straps before pcoat.

Everyone's is going to be different. Mine with 4 X 5 arms and 35x14.50x15 boggers is going to be way different than someone with 2 x 3's and 31 stones. You need to let the parts tell you where to put things, and they will tell you. If you don't listen they will tell you when thing aren't right, by breaking and causing problems.

Well Matt I think it depends where u ride the most. If u look Ron
Mexican Fred and joe mostly ride Leeds and fultondale a lot of dirt
And some rock and ruts. But if u calera to Jemison it all rock hills
with more rocks sticking up and need a lot of ground clearance so
I think it where u plan on riding the most

my one seater has 21" and the c/v's are straight across. Baby Chains are awesome!

The higher you go the higher the center of gravity becomes and maybe more rollover stickers . As Mike pointed out the trailing arms/ CV angle will dictate the maximum height coupled with whatever tire you want to push. Personally I like hills and don't want to be any higher than needed to keep from saddle bagging so for now I have 15" at the torsion( but I'm not a single seater guy). JMHO

Give room for dry sump pump on rear cage. IMO

BUT these baby chains add about 10" of length to the trailing arm and the frame sags down to 21",so there is NO roll over issues. AND everything is incredibly soft . The centers of each sprocket are at a 45 degree angle giving a little hiegth and length. And the gear ratio is equivalent to having a 640:1 1st and a 400:1 2nd. It's basically a baby chain drive buggy. I may not climb a cliff but those rocky washed out rutted granny grunt gear climbing is where it does best. I just need to groove my tires next.

No one asked about chain drive anything. It would be refreshing for you to stick to the topic at hand for a change.

The topic of this post is clearance. This chain drive set up IS about clearance and I am trying to give ideas to him and others . His nearby hometown riding terrain demands ground clearance. If my posts are boring, you have a mouse to click past it. At least it is SOMETHING to read.

I was just curious. I'm runnin 31in v treads. And 3x3s. To give me an idea so I could get some tabs welded in.
