Powder coat can be used but if you want to add something to your frame it is tough to get off and can`t be put back on with out doing the whole frame again,we all use rattle can paint that way you can touch it up after every ride and its cheap. aaron |

I have one buddy that has powder coated his frame. He was able to match the coler with rattle can for places that needed attention. Myself and rest of my crew have gone with automotive spray paint. It holds up well and can easily be touched up when needed. |

I brushed mine on with an oil base paint, it holds up good ( TAKES AWHILE ) |

I used leftover plug paint. Only problem is the dalmation shows his appreciation in a strange way. |

I run 9 ppg paint stores and the easiest and cheapest way to paint a old rusty frame without sandblasting is to sand or wire wheel as much rust and paint off you can. Buy a rust converter in aresol can or you can buy it in Gallons and quarts. This will actualy conver the rust to a primer coating(yes it works) alow to dry for 24 hrs and paint your chosen color with a single stage urethane. We have done this on several used buggied we bought and the frames look as good and have held up as well as the frames we blasted ans spent big money on blasting, sealing, basing and clear coating. you can call me any time if you need help with paint stuff...
