that last one says it will eliminate bump steer.They obviously ain't got a clue what bump steer is. Brad it looks like it would do the trick |

Thats because they are catering to a group of people that also think Bump Steer is terrain feedback thru the steering wheel!

I keep the Wicked Bilt version of electric steering in stock in stock as well. Part # is 8052160  It's rated for a vehicle weighing up to 4500 lbs. Steering U-joints are optional but I would throw in 2 for anyone from WoodsBuggy.com..........

I run the Wicket built in my Can Am Commander and it works fine. Just so everyone understands Electric power steering is not like your typical Hydraulic system and does not perform as well however it does work way better than no power steering and helps a lot with terrain feedback. I had the Commander wheel ripped out of my hands several times prior to Installing the EPS. Since then it's only happened once when hitting a deadfall on an angle. |

The response I have gotten is it pretty effortless to turn and has decent feedback. Best thing is if charging system dies or engine quits running and battery is dead it steers like it did before system was installed. Don't that happens with the hydraulic systems.........

I was at Drew's Offroad today and they had the Wicked Bilt. Looked like a nice unit. I know the electric steering is becoming very popular on the West coast. Seems like positive results so far. |

If you mt it at the rack you will never wear out any steering joints.I have seen some mt the power unit at the windshield bar with 2 joints making up the bends taking all the abuse. |

I would have my reservations about installing the Wicked Build in a Buggy if your riding terrain similar to Wellsville. I have one in a SxS and it's ok however does not even come close to my Howe/Sweet Hydraulic setup in my Woodsbuggy. Also Keep in mind that the SxS weighs in at 1500#s with 12" rims/26" tires and the Woodsbuggy weighs in at aprox. 2700#s with 15" rims/30" tires on the front. The Commander needs two hands to steer most of the time and the Buggy can be done with 2 fingers however better to use the whole hand lol. I think I would look into the Linsey system as the power conductors tend to tell me it has a higher HP motor on it. I could be very wrong about the Wicked Build and it may work fine on a Buggy. I will say I had the earlyer model Wicked build on the Commander and it was marginal at best. I took it to the Factory here in Twinsburg , Ohio thinking it was a bad unit and they tested it for torque and it was in the design range for that model. Now I have the one that they claim is 30% stronger and there is no dought it works better. They are designed for SxSs and classic street cars in my opinion. |
