Thanks Mike, I think I will pull the cable and hang it from my deck spray the WD in an push it thru with my portable compressor. Then I can get all the h2o out.

Ok guys experienced this for the first time Saturday playing out in the Snow. Any suggestions on keeping the condensation in the throttle cable sheath from freezing up. Sucks when your having fun and then the throttle sticks. |

You running a Morse cable ? You can try lots of WD40 and compressed air to help force it along. |

Mike, I don't know the name of type of cable- I had it made custom by Fleet Pride in Florida, it is super flexible and you can tie it in knot and it still moves very freely. It is Teflon lined with a stainless steel aircraft cable. Cost me about 110.00 but it is custom for the Honda setup. |

At the motorcycle shops they sell a rubber block that goes around the end of the cable. It has a hole in it for the straw for a WD40 can, I have no idea what they call it. Thought something like that might work. But compressed air will force WD40 through the cable. |

antifreeze is a good lubricant and will stop the cable from freezing just blow some in with air. military has done this for years |

I suppose that would be a good solution, (not ridding in the cold if your a p__sy) I want to ride in the the snow again and the cold. Can't just moth ball it but we don't have temps in the below 0 range

Cable luber is what that little block is called . Also I could tell a huge friction difference back when I was racing bikes between wd-40 and a actual good chain and cable lube . I think the stuff I used was maxima chain and cable lube . It was in a brown aerosal can . When I would prep my bike I would take the clutch and throttle cable off spray them with carb cleaner and then spray out with compressed air then I would use the cable luber with the chain and cable lube . I never had a cable break or frey . Hope this helps . |

this is what mike was talking about, i had one back when i had a 250r and they worked ok i guess,i will say the cable lube seemed to work better than wd40 though, and any decent atv parts store should have both http://motorcycle.chaparral-racing.com/ ... le%20luber once you get the cable lubed up, you might try fitting a rubber vacuum cap over the end to help keep some of the moisture out |

Well gents I used the WD - 40 and compressed air and I was amazed at the amount of condensate in the cable sheath. It is real slick. I will defiantly use anti freeze if I am going to be out in the snow in the future just as a preventative measure. |
