Anyone have a red or yellow top optima with a good warranty so I can use the warranty? Both my red and yellow tops are bad and the warranty is expired.

Thanks, Brad 440-225-9063

Before you condem them try charging them with 6 volts over night then switch to 12 volts.

I 'll make a call for you Brad. We just got a new one for the drag car, I'll check and see if he will go for it.

Copy and paste the whole link. Your only getting part of it by clinking on the highlighted text.

This was the thread that we talked about the charging method. Not sure why the link won't work.

When I charged my red top per the instructions in the Hot Rod article, it took about 4 days at a 2 amp charge to get it charged. I would leave it on there for a week and just check it all the time to see if it's getting hot. Mine has held charge and taken charge from the alternator since.

Thats why I use the 6 volt method as it takes much less time and does not trip the internal overload.
