I was cleaning out me shop over the holidays and found this . I forgot i even had it . I was wondering if anyone can figure out what it is . My dad and grand dad both made one in the late 70's let the guessing begin ! |

I have seen one before, but never in action. I understand it screw in and splits the wood. But how do you keep the wood from spinning? |

I've seen these before too and I have to admit that it looks like one of the more dangerous methods I've seen. Right up there with the fast spinning giant wheel with a splitting head welded on that you jam a log under and hope it splits. I prefer my slow hydraulic log splitter. |

If you read the comments below on youtube, when the big log stalled it the other tire started to spin on the ground. Good way to drive through your house, lol. |
