Been here, there and everywhere. Ditched that ol Dodge and I'm now building a 2003 F-250 4x4 extended cab short bed, swapping in a built 12valve Cummins. It's slowly but surely coming together. And I do still have that purdy thing. Lol
I'm away at school right now in East Peoria, Illinois.

Sounds cool! I wanted to go CR in mine for the ability to tune it with a laptop using the EFIlive software. When I started the project I didn't really have the money to do the CommonRail conversion, the engine costs quite a bit more. And I already had a 12valve engine and tons of performance parts for it, so I decided to build it to throw in there, and a built 47re trans, full manual valve body and a B&M ratchet shifter mounted in the floor. 8)

I've been MIA for a few years too as far as posting but it seems really quiet around here now. A couple years ago it seemed the boards were constantly hopping. A lot of the "regulars" don't really seem to be here anymore. I know how easy it is to get distracted and lose touch of who is where. In a short time I bought a house, got married and sold most all my toys. Priorities change I suppose but it seems really quiet. Probably the economy more than anything. I know I don't have the money to burn like I did a few years ago. Hobby's get put aside when things get tight I guess.

Come on down, it aint much to look at right now though, looks like a big pile of junk parts! We've been doing alot of riding in Pineville KY, trying to expand the new park there and get some good trails cut.

Thanks Dan! Hope y'all are doing good, I'm just fine. Staying really busy but I know it'll pay off eventually. And I dunno about teaching how to drive... all I'll probably be teaching is how to play pinball!

That's probably true too! haha. I'll get some pics uploaded. Like I said, it don't look like much but you'll be able to kinda tell what it is. Lol.

Here are some pics of the pile of junk. I have everything to put it together finally, minus a few tiny odds and ends. Pictures of all the shiny new parts would be cool, but I haven't taken any. Lol. Just hard to work on it while living away in Illinois for 8 weeks at a time, only have like one day every couple weeks to work on it when I go back home on the weekends. These are pics from a few months ago, there's been alot done since.

Thanksgiving day 2011 when I brought er home:

Test fitting the Harley Davidson frontend conversion:

Image

Threw my wheels on to check clearance, which are now on our 6.0 truck. Lol I think Dad stole them from me.

Image

After weeks of Dad and I doing body work. Trying to get it "show quality". I know, way too much for a truck but I want it to be perfect since I'm putting all this time and money in it. It's since been primered all over and blocked twice, and wetsanded.

Image

Transporting my new bed. Yes, held down with vise-grips.

Image

When I was putting the 12v together. just shows Headstuds and decked block.

Image

Ported, polished and decked head installed. Common rail valve seals, 5 angle valve job, 60lb over BBD valve springs, chromoly keepers and retainers, ARP rocker pedistals, and rocker bolts.

Image

Painted the longblock and powder coated my valve covers. The paint looks tan here, but it was wet. Once it dried it's now a dark gray color.

Image

Dad and My buddy NIck helping me pull the 5.4 gasser.

Image

Painted the whole frame with Tractor Supply implement paint. Best stuff ever made.

Image

Here's a tease of the paint. It started at Ford Sonic Blue found on Mustang cobras and some SuperDuty trucks. Our cousin Troy custom mixed it; took out 2 of the toners, added white diamond pearl, green pearl, and some purple pearl.
In florescent light in our paint booth, can't tell much about it.
