Looking for an air compressor, it would be our first one. Have been checking out tools today, impact wrench 1/2" 3/4", sand blasting, maybe* grinder, maybe* the tin snips seem really useful for body pannels. Then just general uses for it. I was searching around and found what seems like a pretty nice air compressor. Little bit pricey, pretty big, and its stationary which is a good thing. Also made in the USA! Have my mom half convinced. Rating seem half good half bad, could be luck of the draw or poor use. http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-prof ... ockType=L6 Tell me what you think? |

I have the same tank. Just the cheaper "non professional" version. The tank is only the beginning of the costs. Quality tools will quickly add up. The three tools I use the most in the garage - 1/2 inch impact, 1/4 inch socket and my small hand grinder. Make sure to get a good set of impact sockets to go with the impact wrench. |

Picked it up on sat, $503 including tax. Saved like $250 bucks. Bought an impact wrench 1/2 and saved like $40. http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-1-2-in-heavy-duty-impact-wrench/p-00919984000P?&prdNo=9&blockNo=9&blockType=L9 Also bought 2 packs of impact sockets, SAE and Metric deepwells down to $40 each, from $90. http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-12-pc-impact-socket-set/p-00915886000P?vName=Power+Tools+%26+Equipment&cName=Equipment&sName=Compressors+%26+Air+Tools&prdNo=8&blockNo=8&blockType=L8 I figure im going to plumb it with black steel pipe, pvc is just dangerous, copper $$$, and pex doesn't make the water condense well enough. Not exactly sure how to wire it though. http://www.justanswer.com/electrical/4plxb-230-volt-compressor-installing-when.html and don't really understand this? Could someone explain? |
