I'd have no luck at all. Just rebuilt my motor last year due to spun main bearings because the oil galley got clogged with some foreign aluminum... Well, couple weeks ago we were at Turkey Bay, bout 8:30 or so, and me being the smartass that I am, fired up the buggy and backed it up to the bedroom window of RaceFreaks RV. Threw it in neutral, revved it up a couple of times (MAYBE 4000 rpm..) and all of a sudden it started making a weird noise, so I turnt around and saw shit flying up in the air. Cut it off, and Greenrail walks over and points out a nice half dollar sized hole in the top of my block. Well, upon further inspection, the wristpin is still in the rod.. Ripped the piston in half, but no idea why. So now I have a $4500 paperweight.. Ahh well. One of these days I'll get it right. (If anyone wondering, its a 2332.)

That sucks to hear. $4500 is nothing to drop on a motor if the parts are any count at all!

Not sure exactly what brand pistons they are, will post when I tear it down.

$4500 is easy to have in a motor. And yes it has or is very close to 200 hp. Or was rather. Not used to seeing a piston rip into like that.

More importantly? Lol. Neal snapped a caliper, replaced it, then continued having brake issues, right rear was draggin along with the left front.

What are you trying to say nitro, maybe shook hands with him and some of my luck rubbed off on him, lol.I've had a piston come apart in the wrist pin,but it was due to a dumb ass not setting deck height and piston hitting the head and then shimmed the barrel out and put the same piston back in it and it was cracked inside the wrist pin.first time I really opened it up it broke out and dropped the rod down and tore up the entire motor.only thing left on it that was good was rocker arms,1 head and 1 jug and piston.it twisted the rod around through the block and all because the guy was to cheap to replace the one piston that was bad due to his mistake and it cost me a lot of cash that he refused to help make up.I will never let just anybody do motor work for me again.it cost me thousands of dollars and 7 trips 1-1/2 hrs to 2 hrs one way to Grayson KY and four months of lying bullshit to put 5-6 hrs on it to have it let go and told oh well it was yours when it started. Damn..... Well, I hope my luck isn't quite that bad, I wasn't on it hard when it happened, so I'm hoping more of the motor can be saved.
