I just got a 3500 lb Super Winch and I am trying to figure out the best place to mount the winch..

Here is my idea to build a removable winch/front bumper

Build a front bumper to hold the winch infront of the beam.
Bolt the Winch and Bumper to the two vertical posts on the front of the beam
Mount all the switches and electronics on the front bumper
Use some type of wire plug to connect and disconnect the power

What are your thoughts?

That is what I Just did. I not only mounted the bumper to the vertical beam post but I also welded plate behind the front beam. Running grade 5 bolts (can't find grade 8 with fully threaded) all the way through. I ran nuts up against the factory vertical braces then ran nuts against the braces at the back of the beams. That way the beam gets pressure on both sides. I didn't think the factory vertical braces wound be strong enough  My last pics I posted in bigD's Build shows my winch mount.

Great idea.. That was one of my concerns.. I did not know how strong that vertical mounts were.

I have my winch mounted on a home built fixture. I have recievers welded to front and rear buggybumpers so i can use it on either end and another reciever welded to chassis in ft of passenger foot area to store it when not in use. I use large snow plow style electrical plugs to plug it in. I also made a set of jumper cables with that plug on one end.

I seen your pics of your winch and mounts. I like it. I thought pretty hard on doing mine with dual mounts but I already have it fabricated. Maybe down the road. Until then block and tackle will have to work. Of course the best recovery method is your riding buddies
