ok i have tore out 2 of the 538 3 ribs in 3 weeks with an 1835. I am thinking of buying a new mid engine that is built to the hilt ( for the dunes) and get all of the guys extra parts. what will a mid engine do in the woods and would it be worth my time and money? I needf info because this guy needs money and is ready to sell.jason108 Posts: 32 Joined: Fri Jun 17, 2011 2:54 pm Location: Guntersville Al Private messageE-mail |

If you are breaking 3 ribs with an 1835, you must be running them pretty hard. How big are your tires and when are things breaking.. Climbing? Jumping? |

what is breaking on the 3 ribs and were they "virgins" or had they already been run in a buggy????? as far as the mid engine i have not seen very many in the woods other than clayton's yellow buggy and DD's passatt buggy however if the mid engine setup is built very well it may do ok but unless it is one heck of a deal you could build a bigger motor and put a built 6 rib in the buggy you have now for the same or maybe even less money |

correct me if i'm wrong, but the only 2 ways to run a bus trans in mid engine configuration is to flip the trans upside down, or run a reverse rotation engine (v-tec). |
