I'm installing my new 3x3 trailing arms.. http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss27 ... 0015-1.jpg and i need some input on what brackets to order to be able to mount my calipers. my calipers look something like these.. http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss27 ... iper-1.jpg I want to mount them in the rear position instead of on top of the rotor and my old mounting brackets will not work..my old brackets are like these.. http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss27 ... cket-1.jpg im not sure I can fab the brackets to get the calipers centered over the rotor so i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Any input would be good. Sorry about the pic links..I still cant figure out how to post pics..lol |

The make a bolt on bracket for those calipers that are differnt than the ones you have that will work. I had those mounts on my old 2x3 and had to grind the corners where the radius bend is to get them to fit. Work great for the 7 years I had them. BTW those are the Ghia calipers. |

One of my buddies has same arms etc... I will try and get ahold of him to check out his setup, Why wont the bracket u have now work? Thats the same one im using on my 2x3's but i had to do some cutting and grinding on them. |

I tried to put them on but with the way the new trailing arm is boxed..they didnt seem to want to fit. the old bracket is formed to fit around the stock trailing arm and the new trailing arm is boxed Square and wouldnt work. |

gotcha, those arms are tapered bigger in the back to smaller in the front also? that makes it difficult, like said previously i had to cut the corners out of mine, and make them a ittle thinner by cuttin them with abandsaw. But ill try to find out what my friend is usin. |

i had the same style arms with the same brackets and the same problem. and i just cut the block off where the caliper bolts and i bolted it to the caliper and i ground it till the caliper fit down on to the rotor and then i welded it to the arm. hope this helps |

here is a link for all 3 brackets, weld on, heavy duty bolt on, and stamped steel bolt on http://www.chircoestore.com/catalog/ind ... 86_104_105 i would suggest the weld on or the heavy duty bolt on, i have the heavy duty bolt on one of my buggies and they have worked and held up fine, but i have a buddy that bought the stamped steel bolt on brakets and they broke off |

do i have to have a spacer that goes between the rotor and the bearing carrier on the trailer arm?.it seems to be very close but i havnt actually mounted the stub axle/rotor yet?..i thought i seen this spacer on one of the sponsors website. |

which spacer you talkin about? on mine i have stub axle with a spacer on inside, bearing, tube inside ,bearing then a spacer then the bolt on seal thing then the rotor. Without those spacers atleast if im thinkin what your talking about it will over tighten and not spin. |
