we are gettin a little snow around us and was going upp 77 in the cleveland area following the tire marks on the highway when i noticed me crossing the white line on the right side of the road , then i heard the rumble strip . im lookin around me and im good im in my lane and a semi to my left when i notice my right tires are in the grass  i was like wtf !!!!!!!!!!!! here i gues someone in early traffic drove off the road and all other cars follow the tire marks to which made the plow trucks follow also and made the road off road ! i just thought that was nuts and would never though that would happen !
who knows maybe you guys have a driveing story to tell add it on here , we need a good laugh :D

Ok heres one from last year, I was at the bar all night it was snowing about like it has been today So it was really bad out by 2am. Im cruising down a back road heading home, out here the ditches are like 5ft or so deep in areas, I come up on these tail lights hangin out of the ditch so I pull up and a guy gets outta the car totally trashed So i ask him if he wants pulled out So i grabbed a tow strap and threw it to him and he hooked it up i didnt really care where lol I told him to get in his car and hold on (laughing the whole time) I get back in my truck lock in 4x4 this is a hd 3/4ton gmc by the way. Well the best part is the dude is so drunk he doesnt realize who i am, I absolutly hate this guy , just one of those people i never seen eye to eye with ...SO I back up to his car and take off with the pedal to the floor, Best part my strap was a 40footer I doubt he ever seen it coming, But im sure he shit a brick This little cavalier had to of flew every bit of 6ft higher than the pavement and landed sideways across the road in the other ditch I couldnt help myself so i just started draggin him threw it laughing the whole time, then his car hit a culvart pipe i got out unhooked and took off. Moral of the story!? Dont drink and drive you got more to worry about than getting caught by the cops hahaha    maybe im just an a$$

That was a good one.me and buddy left the bar one night it was pouring the snow wind blowing 50 mph it was really bad.it's like a 3mile drive all 4lane so we take off 8/9 inches snow we pull out go through the first curve and hit a big straight stretch.I thought we was flying, the snow was coming so hard and fast I thought I was running 120 mph.my buddies drunk as hell I had a great buzz but I didn't think I was that drunk but I broke out in sweat, foot riding the brake to slow down and then the front wheels started locking up..........I was stalling it out in first gear.lol.I was running like 2mph.then I looked out the side window and i realize it's the snow blowing 50plus mph lol.well my buddy feels the fronts stalling the car out and starts freaking, yelling at me to slow down we had a tire blow out,man I was lmao.it took me like 20mins to get throughout that straight stretch and once we turned the wind was blowing across the road and he thought spun out, lol. Every time we headed into the snow he'd beg me to slow down of the best 3mile trips ever from the bar.man I miss those drink or drown vodka Thursday's  Chad

Post subject:  Re: a little driveing story in the snow

those are good stories, but i got one too.
back a few years ago, there was a pretty bad snow storm, so we all decided to drive from cleveland up to new york, to ski holiday valley. we skied and drank all day long, got pretty drunk, we left new york about 1 in the morning and it had to be 3 in the morning on I-90 i couldnt see 10 feet infront of me, and there was no cars or nothing on the highway, all i could see was a guard rail, so i started following the guard rail down the highway doing about 30 miles an hour, then all at once i see a redlight in the middle of the highway, when i hit the breaks, the car started spinning all over the place, and right about then the rest of the drunks woke up in a panic, they were yelling whats wrong! right about then i realized i followed the guard rail up and off the offramp. so i told them go back to sleep theres nothing wrong, so i got back on the highway and kept going. boy it was a long night.

Post subject:  Re: a little driveing story in the snow

My story begins the next morning, after the night of drinking and the snow storm. I woke up safe and sound at home with no recollection of getting there (coincidentally this is also the last time I truly drove drunk). As I walked to the living room of my house I could already see a problem. The serene view of my families farm land was disturbed by tire tracks coming all the way from the "back 40" which was all FROZEN chisel plow. Before the story goes further I should tell you my truck of choice for my adventure is my 2000 Ranger V6 TWO WHEEL DRIVE. Since I didn't recall the drive my first instinct was to check the truck and make sure it was in one piece. The truck looked great, but a view of the driveway revealed the next clue. The tracks came in my driveway from the field, down it, and straight across to my neighbors yard. I did about 4 donuts on the big hill in his front yard then straight back to my spot in the driveway. Oddly enough he never mentioned it. Now my interest is peaked. I called the person who rode home with me and all he could remember was that we were going so fast on the chisel plow that his "eyes couldn't focus on anything". We went and retraced my steps to see the rest. I left the bar. Went straight to a huge sub-division under construction and drove every where in it "drifting". Then we hit an abandoned set of railroad tracks that lead to my road (at 30MPH or more in the summer time the whoops make you catch air) . I came out of the tracks on to my road so fast that I went across the road and down a 6 foot drop. The tracks didn't even go to the bottom of the hill before they went into a powerslide around a mailbox (close) and right back up the hill on to the street (2WD Ranger  ). Then back down the hill just because and into the chisel plow from there. From a second hand perspective it was a hell of a ride. I wish I could remember it. Oddly though about 6 months later the whole front end on my truck just fell apart all at once. :?

its kinda funny, we are talking about driving in the snow, i just slammed my truck into a wall this morning. it was about 5 30 this morning, i was going down 480 and the traffic was moving about 60 miles an hour, the roads looked clear, but had a little shine to it. i went over an overpass, the back end slid out from under me, i was in the middle lane, the truck slid sideways, half into the other lane and i hurried up and turned the wheel, and the truck slid into the center lane and then one lane over, i turned the wheel and went back, i did this about 6 times, i must have covered 1/8 mile then on the last time, the truck spun 180 degree around and i was heading into the wall backwards, i bounced off the wall, and it pushed me back into the lanes again facing the traffic and i finally stopped. i looked at all these cars coming at me, so i hurried up, threw it in reverse, nailed it and hit the wall again getting out of the way of the oncoming traffic. i sat there for a couple of seconds and though wow, that was kinda cool. it wasnt too bad on the truck, i just bent the bumper and the corner bed alittle bit
Jayrod, this story starts out with i was sober

Post subject:  Re: a little driveing story in the snow

I have a few good ones.... Everyone that knows my cousin Kyle Martin and I know that we like to do our fair share of drinking. Well we also like to go on "adventures".

1. One cold, winter night we went out to the bar, both underage at the time, and drank HEAVILY. I had driven us to the bar, and god forbid i ever let kyle drive my truck. Well this night I did... The last thing I remembered was slamming down two beers at the door and giving the bouncer one, then, I gave kyle my keys. Fast forward about 7 hours. I wake up sweating my nuts off in the passenger seat of my truck... In the middle of the woods... about 30 miles south. Numb nuts decided to drive us down to Dundee where we hunt at, bounce through some fields (this whole time I was blacked out with my head bouncing off the window) and park her there with the truck running. I wake kyle up to see that the fuel gauge in the lifted 2500 dodge with a 360 is below E and the nearest gas station is atleast 5 miles away. Needless to say we got back, but man that was an adventure!

2. Sitting at Kyle's house drinking on the porch, we decide we are going to take our buddy on a ride in my truck, because well, he's never been on a jeff and kyle adventure. There is about 2 feet of snow on the ground at the time and were out doing donuts in fields, etc. Well we get down to these powerlines south of home, and look down this hill that drops into them. I get the "if we were in my dodge we'd do it jeff." Oh yeah kyle, well screw you, we drop down in. All's fine, we go up and park up on top of some hills and drink a few beers and bullshit. Well, now it's time to go back out said hill. Said hill is a lot steeper and taller than we remembered, and coupled with the snow and zero run, things are starting to look pretty bad. I tried numerous angles, and gear combinations, but to no avail, the truck remained stuck at the bottom. Finally, I put it in 4 Hi and drive and started at the top of a hill 90 degrees from hill that needed climbed. Floored the big dodge and never let up. Our friend at the top of the hill had a dick cepek tire at about his forehead while standing there taking a piss. Needless to say, he never rode with us again.

3. Once again, me and Kyle out. This time we have my girlfriend with us. We go and close down the local Amvet's club, and decide we need some more. So we hitch into kyles Cummins Dodge and take off. We go to the bar after doing a massive powerbrake and continue to drink and take waaaaay too many shots. Time for bar close we stumble out to the truck and kyle and I open up new beers and stuff the girlfriend in the back seat. We continue to drink and drive out "our roads" and kyle wheels her up in this field he likes to do donuts in. We spin some donuts hoot and holler with dwight yoakem blaring and go to continue out of the field. Well the field has about a 7 foot drop off to small ditch to road. Kyle decides he is going out this way through the steepest part. Down goes cummins we all fly to the drivers side of the truck and there she sits on her side, inches from being rolled. So I call up my uncle to come pull us out at 330 am, he is not thrilled, but comes anyways. Neighbor comes out taking pictures, and My dumbass is on the phone with my uncle calling the neighbor all sorts of foul names. Neighbor hears me and comes and puts me in my place while kyle is trying to be the no no sir dont listen to him guy smoothing the situation. We had to get a family friend with a tow company out to winch the truck out. Kyle went to apologize to the neighbor the next day and he was cool as hell. This escapade marked the end of our stupid drunk driving trespassing and adventures.

I'm sure there is tons more, but I'll spare you all. lol

I tell you a good one in the buggy.me and my friend share the same birthday and us and another friend and his dad took off riding,4guys 3buggys,way to much beer, and a half gal of crown 6pack of mello yellow, and away we went.we left at noon sat.by 3pm it started getting cold maybe 40.we was drinking pretty good so not really feeling it to bad.well we started hammering the crown around 7 by a fire.well some trucks roll in around midnight and they have a buddy stuck up and need help.by now it's dropped down in the teens and boy once you got away from the fire and rolling it got cold fast.so we take off and my buddies dad just takes a right turn and down fork creek he goes wide open.theres always one in the group, and that night it was slim.well the trucks went left but I had to follow slim so there we went.well 5miles later he finally stops,cb off, stuff dragging off the side of it,broken ice chunks 3" thick piled up in the seat from smashing through the mud holes, man he was having fun.I thought he would freeze to death, his pants froze stiff.well we got rid of some more crown and figured we would make a loop and try catch up with the trucks.we started up this main hollow and it's and old state park so it's a good size road with big long creek crossings.we got across some with not even breaking through but we got this one crossing and it just didn't look right.seemed like it was a lot wider than what I remember and it was.I started out and got almost halfway and the back wheels dropped through.I was stuck bad.lucky it was full moon so we could see good but man it was cold.I had to take chainsaw and the buggy outta the ice.it was over my seats deep.it was so cold that it was freezing back as we was pulling the big chunks out.I had taken duct tape put it over the header to get it warm enough to unroll.we taped everything.took everything off we needed to,we did every thing possible to seal it up tight.we even drained the oil into garbage bag.when I got the ice cut and it fell all the way in I thought for a second it was gone for good. drunk guys and about an hour later we got it out.by then the fire was going real good,I always carry spare clothes so I changed and they all dryed out we spent a good bit of time getting mine back together and finishing off the crown.by the time we got home it was daylight by then we was so cold we was numb.come to find out a beaver had damned the creek up and it was backed up is why it was so deep.I love rides like this.Chad
