I was just about to give up on this whole buggy thing,Then i made it to the wood,man what fun i had...six months ago i didn't know what a woods buggy was an a buddy seen woodsbuggy.com told me one look and i had to have one so i put the dirt bike and 4 weeler on craigslist to trade for a buggy not knowing anythig i got a hunk o shit,got it home and in 5 min the glan nut fell off you know what happens after that,so no money to fix it and for that matter i know nobody that know anything about vw I sold my shoutgun and was looking for a motor,found a guy not to far frome home that said he would fix it (some of you may know him)so i took it to him.He told me he would tare it down and let me know,I was told it was a 1835 so he tore it down and call me a bout 2 weeks later and said it was not a 1835 it was a 1641 and it had a junk case and needed this and that all greek to me at the time he said he had a lot a parts around and could use my heads and get me something together for 850..and thats been 5 months ago he will not call me or e mail me back.. so i found one on cl for 500 (1641)took the hour trip to get it and its a lot more fun then the 4x4s and atv i grow up on.now me and my buddy got buggys nothing like some of the ones on here but we put them together and learned alot..every payday they get a lil better..

That is awesome.. glad to hear you got the buggy running. That sucks about your 1st engine..

You should come out to one of the hill climbs and meet a bunch of guys..

Good to hear you got your buggy running. The first buggy is always a $$$$ learning experence. I am on my 4th buggy and I am still $$$$ learning.

Post a picture and let us take a look at your buggy.

welcome to the site and dont feel bad im shure most of us have been thier now that you got a buggy now all you need is this mans number tim deaton he is the owner of suthern buggys bug shop and a good friend and is allways will to help out a felow buggy rider 606-864-2217.......................
