I just thought some of you guys might get a chuckle out of this Photo. It shows the importance of slugging a frame where you slice or extend tubing. The front end was buried under a foot of dense clay and sand.

That's scary. I know a guy who raised his roof 4-5 inches and just butt welded it. Hate to see what happens if he ever rolls. Or if he sells it and the new owner has no idea he just butt welded it.

When I got my Buggy project the PO extended the frame on the front with just butt welds and out came the saws all and it all dissappered and was done over correctly without any splices.
