I've been test driving and tuning the buggy this past week. The panels I made are all dimpled and dzus fastened to the frame. They are very snug but the panels still rattle really bad. No bead rolls on the panels. I have a beadroller but I decided not to do it. Anyone line their panels or have a rattle fix? It's insanely bad, can hardly hear the engine over it.

I'm thinking about gluing vinyl to the back side of the panels. I considered spray bedliner too.

I have used some silicone 100% water proof stuff along the edges of the areas where the body touched the cage. I have also used some in expensive weather striping (white higher durometer) along the cage and the body panel both are easy and prevent the annoying rattle of death.

Dynomat isn't a bad idea but it's really expensive. I'll look into vinyl first. I don't think it's a rattle from hitting the frame. If I tap the panels between tubes or Dzus fasteners it just rattles the sheet of aluminum. Bead rolls would likely have stiffened it up enough but I didn't want to screw with it.

Did you try to tap the dzuse tabs in a little, make the panel fit tighter to the frame. Mine rattled like crazy when I first did mine and all I had to do was tighten the panel to the frame.

I can barely get the Dzus fasteners in now. They are very tight on the springs. I have to really push hard on the wrench to get them to turn onto the springs. I think some areas are worse than others. I'll find the bad spots and see what I can do.

I got the foam truck cap tape and put a piece of that on each dzus fastener and it cleared it right up. Its cheap and easy.

Double sided foam works good , 100 percent silicone works good and those felt pads for furniture works good also . Or you good be a real hillbilly and get some door shims and smack in there ! Lol

Love the door shims, get a package of cedar shingles and make your own. I you ever get lost in the woods you can use em for fire starters. You laugh but i have shoved part of a branch in the fan shroud of my old AC engine to stop it from rattling.

When I did mine I made them so I could hand form the edges so they rap around the frame tubing by a 1/2". I feel this is the best way to minimize vibration. I have none. I also have the Dzues fastners set up tight.

Bet I know what it is. You dimpled the dzuse hole on the panels. Where the dimple is in contact with the tab that is the only place where the panel is in hard contact with the chassis. The rest of the panel is loose fitting to the bars. I'll bet if you were to shave off some of the dimple from the inside it would fit tighter to the chassis. Things I think I think.

I have seen them at Drews spray bed liner no the back of the panels.

I did dimple the panels for the Dzus fasteners. I rolled the bedliner onto the floor and I have mixed emotions about it for the side panels. It coated well but it's pretty hard and not real thick. It's not quite like an actual spray in. It doesn't really seem like it's a rattle at the fastener. It's more like tapping a piece of sheetmetal in the middle of the sheet. It just resonates. The areas that are touching the frame don't really rattle its more in the middle of the sections.
