will 10 guage wire work from the battery to the alternator and from battery to fuse block? i know i was told to use 8 ga but the auto parts store doesn;t carry it just 10 ga |

Just go ahead and do it right the first time. There's plenty of places that can get you 10 guage wire. Here is a chart I robbed,,I don't fully understand it but it looks like 10 gauge is fine for alternator to battery .
