I'm getting ready to finally wire my buggy it's got a vw engine with an alternator, 4 lights,taillights and tachometer I already have my keyswitch and two indicator lights can anyone else tell me what all i might need to keep me from having to run to the auto parts store 100 times haha I think I'm going to use wire loom for my wires unless anyone has a better idea and just wondering how many feet of the loom and wire and what guage and do you even use fuses on these buggy just want to say thanks again this is my first build and you all have been a big help |

10 gauge and 12 will do the buggy when i wired mine thats what i wired it with i bought 25 foot of both only thing on my buggy that has a fuse is the fog lights |

Summit has a kit made by Taylor of various sizes of wire loom. It was like $15 and is enough to do an entire vehicle. I will be using all deutsch connectors on my harness. They are pricey at about $10 each, but are the best thing out there and fully waterproof. I have built vehicles for the military using these. |
