Hi Guys OK got my wires to wire everything today. Going to build my overhead dash tomarrow then think about running wires next. I was thinking of useing some of that flexable conduit that they use in houses to run wire harness from the overhead console down the middle of windsheld frame to the floor and back to the engine compartment . I was thinking this would realy protect the wiring but was concerned about not being able to access the wires for any thing. Just not sure that the plastic split loom is good enough protection. You see I tend to lean to OVERKILL!!! What do you all think????? Thanks Moblmec |

I don't like overhead consoles, they make my head hurt and bleed. Split looms are fine, just don't skimp on the tape. |

I used 7 wire coated trailer wire for the main harness on my buggy, you can pick it up anywhere that sales campers or trailer parts about $1 a foot. You really only need 4 wires to make a VW run anyways |

Seems to be different grades of split loom. I got mine at an Electrical Supply House. Made alot better than the standard split loom you see at most parts store. Split loom has been fine on mine. Glad to see you are still at it. |
