Your link seems screwed up. It featured a real mans engine but I did manage to find your motor when it was bench tested.

First street bike I ever got for my ex was a Ninja 250 that had a 21000 RPM limit. I used to dump the clutch at 14000 & boil the tire & boy did it sing at about 19000 when you were hard on the throttle. Id love to have another one of those.

I had one of them , too. About 20 yrs ago. Think it was an 86? model. It was a blast! Like riding a 65cc dirtbike in the back yard, easy to sling around, but always felt like it was too little. Mine was only 5 spd. Fastest I could get it to run was about 115.

Mine was an '89 but I know what you mean. Im 5 foot 7 & I was jammed up on it. Once I got into 5th Id lay on the tank & put my feet on the rear pegs to get comfy. It was supposed to top out at 143 but I could flirt with 140 max. Thing is a 235 lb. bike at that speed with bodywork designed to make an 800 lb. bike feel like 300 at that speed had the feel of a 10 speed bicycle. A slight wind gust nearly put me in the median & I had to slow the F down & change my undies.

I never had time to ride much so I got rid of my Sportster & ZX6 years ago. I always tell myself Ill get another one but I cant justify the expense to have it collect dust.

Back in the day I rode a beautiful 93 CBR900 and boy there wasnt much that I couldnt do on it I had her geared down it would hit the rev limiter at about 155 I would race locals in there hondas flat out they would only do 120 130 then i would pull up beside pull the clutch in hold her wide open and let her fly she would come right up on the back wheel and GO :D then i started doing slow wheelies that was fun learning how to balance at like 2 mph then one night some DAM deer jump out in front of me just as was passing a kid in a truck at about 70 t boned the deer slid on the road 50 ft or so then into the wet grass for about another 200 ft god was watching me that day I had my leather on and good helmet only got a little road rash fixed it back up then sold her would love to get another one but the local po po and my parents wouldnt like that someday when my boy is older and wants one i might get another one
