It would offer a bigger clutch disc and there are aftermarket disc too. Suby starters are abundant. Saves a tad of weight and a tad of thickness offset . I hope the price will drop some.

No dought thats the best way to go. The adapter plate concept leaves a little bit to be desired. I will be putting lower motor mounts on project for the additional strength. With the added motor weight and HP and the fact your threading into a 5/8" piece of aluminum concerns me. Also High performance clutch systems are avalable for the Subarus that will handle a 2.5 Turbo charged STI motor at 300 HP.

Think about that, By the time you spend the money on heavy duty clutch, starter, and adapter kit with flywheel. You spend more than that. If you get one of these you can use the flywheel, starter and clutch from the donor car. This is a little high but it still saves you money.
