Is anyone running one of these engines in a buggy, how's it working out? I just bought a Vanagon for the trans and the engine runs great. Don't know if I should sell it or keep it. The van had been sitting for two years and it didn't crank a full revolution and it was purring like a kitten. |

If you are going to go Water Cooled there are much better choises like the Subaru or Ecotech. Many Vanagon owners have replaced their motors with the 2.2 and 2.5 Subaru motors. |

If you are just getting into buggies, roll the Vanagon engine. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on an engine upgrade then figure out you'd rather be rolling a Freightliner. |

I think I will stick to my original plan, do the suspension first worry about the power second. Know anybody looking for a nice running Vanagon engine? |
