Dang, missed it. Didnt even know that show was still on. Caught a little bit of "Pinks" this afternoon. Had a Beetle spankin' a Honda's ass. I'm talkin half trackin'. Then a few months later the Honda guys built a new car to try and hang w/ him. I only saw one round of the rematch, but it was neck and neck. Show is kinda cool, but the host is a 'tard. Larry |

They took the wheelie bars off the VW and it did a good wheel stand got out shape and he wrecks at the end of the track. |

Larry This is the guy that headed up the VW efforts point of view. http://www.locashracing.org/projectpink ... ctive.html That episode happened about a year and a half ago. Most all VW shops mine included played a part in that car. Jason Lauffer of VW Paradise ( http://www.vwparadise.com/ ) fame was the pilot. Not a better bunch of guys anywhere. It hit the wall because the tranny had a spool in it and he had broken an axle the previous round and didn't know it. After the show was over, each respective team raffled off their car with the proceeds going to charity. The VW guys and shops raised over $30,000...........
