| Post subject: | PIPE ? |
what is the difference between tubing and regular pipe? i install fire sprinklers for a living and i have used what we call thin wall pipe (1/8 wall) for my tree bars and front bumper. what would you guys think as far as structural use like over head bars and such? i dont mind buying tubing just curious if it would work as far as safety? Pipe has more lead content than tubing. Because of the lead content --it will bend and cut easier making it unsafe for roll protection. If it was ok to use -- factory built buggies ,would be made with pipe! |

A guy that used to ride with us a long time ago welded some galvanized pipe in his buggy for braces.....almost every hill he climbed one of the braces would fall off....it was hi |

Some tubings have no weld seams in the inside of the tube as pipe does. |
