Post subject:  another diesel question
so ive been looking into getting a diesel.. ive always been a chevy man and we already have 2 duramaxs that have given zero issues other than normal maintainace :mrgreen: that being said, ive been looking at the dodges in particular and have a few questions.. 06-09 is in my price range and my questions are about the motors.. 5.9 or 6.7 ?? which is the better choice to go with? fuel milage and reliability?? what to look for and what to stay away from?? any and all opinions welcome 8)

get one without all the egr or dpf crap on it if you want the best mileage plus the power is a lot better also, or you can delete it if its out of warranty, I have a 06 with the 5.9 and with a programmer and exhaust it does just fine but sure would like to try out a deleted and tuned 6.7 :mrgreen:

I have a 98 ram dually w/12 valve 5.9 coming up on 450,000 miles, Still runs like new. Very easy and cheap to upgrade power, iv seen them go in the 7-8K range.
