Since im the state rep. for kentucky i will be cordinating the events for woodsbuggy in kentucky.............. I have not yet set a place because i wanted everyones opinion for the location. I've already seen several comments or opinion about some different locations so everyone please give your opinion. Im going to let this post run for one week before selecting the location...Please keep in mind that if this is not a park that i have ties with that we will need someone to host this event besides me! Basically going to use this topic as a vote:

I've already said it but I think rush would be nice. Nice open trails plenty of room and its a good central spot for everyone to come to.

If it would be possible to do rush that would be nice. I live couple hours away and would be willing to travel down and talk to them and or anything to help you out just let me know if I can help out. Chad

I personally have never been to any of the parks in Kentucky. I wanted to make some of the closer hillclimbs this year. Which park is better suited for out of state travelers. That may be something you want to consider. Places to stay, eats, and camper access if available may be something you might want to consider. JMO!

I didn't list all the choices because i never drive any farther than 1 hour to get to any of our riding locations...I don't know all the parks in kentucky!! Just wanted everyones opinion!

I will talk with Darrel but i would say that D&K is going to be out of the question..

I was considering having it at the same park i did last year but a different location.

Wilderness Trail Offroad Park, Pineville,KY

Rush
It has 4 or 5 hotels within 10 miles, camping, and just about any kind of food close by. And my brother is friends with the owner. I could help out.

I'm voting rush or dtor...........Harlan - black mountain is my first choice...

My vote would be for rush or dirty turtle if its held at pineville I can assure you of 5 rides that will not be coming. Pineville had a great hill for the event but was terrible for trail riding jmo.

If D@K is not a option then I will vote for rush. Never been there but looking forward to going. Dtor does have some great hills and it is close. But the people who live around the park stay in the owners ass. Way too many rules.

i have to agree , great comp hills but a lot of walking due to lack of wide open spaces along the tight trails , rush sounds good if d&k is not a go !!!

they were pure as*ses when we were their at the last hillclimb , we were not welcomed by the other off roaders ( well most of them anyways ) they tried to make us move after the hillclimb started & the like of resturants was horrible , only a pizza resturant that was decent , lodging was bad also !!
in other words it sucked & roger went cliff diving and lost his buggy , almost starved to death before he reached the bottom of that canyon he fell into !!!

where are you talking about ron? harlan? i seem to remember at the last climb there people saying they were being assholes, but there always cool to us when we go down there. dtor has never hosted a woodsbuggy event YET  the locals will end up shutting that place down  but im going to have to place my vote for rush!! night riding being one reason, and its a bigger park! website says primitive camping only, permits are $25 for a week or $75 for a year, and thats per vehicle, so im sure ill be getting a year permit! someone close needs to talk to them and get the ok for it and coordinate with roger on making it a final. and i also agree with not agreeing on pineville, to many gravel roads!
