Ive always wanted to try the 914 trans myself. I know its a sideshift & it does hang a little low but what kind of crap will it take?

I think the 911's came in 2 flavors, 7x31 and 8x31 r&p, I'm not positive.

Don't bother with the 914 trans. I have one in my shop that broke the mainshaft with a factory engine and street tires. 1st gear hangs out the nosecone side of the intermediate housing so its pretty weak and will break mainshafts when dropping the clutch.

All of them are high $$$ when you have to repair. Stay away. Sell them to a Porsche guy and take the profits and spend them on tried and true products.
