Post subject:  Side shift 3-rib

Anyone ever seen one of these?
Most side shift vanagon trannies look like a 6 rib but shift from the case (watercooled) or the intermediate housing (air-cooled).
This has the normal 3-rib case but the tranny shifts from where the nose cone normally is.
Also has some sort of intermediate housing chassis mount.
I'm thinking an industrial application............. :?

Never thought to look at the case part number Eric.
Should be an 091 or similar rather than the 113 or 002 designation you think?
Never messed with a diesel VW bus.............

yep 5.42s are pretty much bullet proof,been running one one a 2275 and been hammering the hell out of it and still is in perfect condition
