cant find a 542 so does any body have any other ideas this is a machined down 094

Why not just run the stock? It is the strongest.

For tails riding I run a 4.57 r/p & a 4.38 first & 2.46 2nd 1.72 3rd 1.18 4 Drews built trans .The 5.86 pinion is week

just trying to gear the trans down the cheapest way i can im open to any ideas

The Best way to do it would be to keep the 4.56 and regear the trans to what you want. A 1st and 2nd gear set wont cost much more than an after market R&P, and you will be setting your self up for future improvments in stead of breaking it when you build a bigger motor or go with more aggressive tires or what ever. :mrgreen:

thanks for the info. the problem im having is what gears 2 run for 1st and 2nd at the moment i have a set of cut 35 boggers but i would like to be able 2 run 35,s in first and 31 v-treads in second . my motor is pretty strong above 2 grand with a stock 6rid and the 35s thanks
